Guild Meeting and Craftsy Class Review

It's off to our Quilt Guild this morning and then home to work on the store sample quilt again. I can't WAIT to get back on my longarm.  I'm really enjoying working on this quilt using my new rulers!!

I thought while I had a minute, I'd review a Craftsy class that I took recently.  I  LOVED it.  Even though Lori from theinboxjaunt.com stitches on a domestic machine in her class I was able to get so many FANTASTIC ideas!

Lori's Craftsy class is called, Divide and Conquer: Creative Quilting for Any Space.

The broad categories in her class - each of which is chock full of fresh new motifs are:

Foundations
Vertical and Horizontal Compositions
Grid Compositions
Medallion Compositions
Radiating Compositions
Diagonal Compositions
Framed Compositions

Well, anyhow, you get the idea.  What I liked a LOT about the class was Lori's teaching style.  She made each motif seem so doable. AND,  I love that she really encourages us to doodle.  As a matter of fact, on her website she has a whole doodle tutorial section. Did I mention I ran out to Staples to purchase a dry erase board for doodling because I used up every scrap of paper in the house for doodling?!

Below is a picture of Lori's craftsy class (not an affiliate link).  If you're at all interested in free motion quilting, I highly recommend both this class and Lori's blog.

PS. I have three FREE Craftsy classes to give away!  If you are one of the first three to email me at LongarmQuiltingbyPattyAnne at g mail dot com,  you will be a winner of a class of YOUR CHOICE.
