Camper wall hanging.

I used to love to camp! Especially when my friends and I would set our tent up ON the beach! Nothing like  the sound of the waves and a warm campfire.

Cathy's camper brings back memories of happy times!

Catchy appliquéd this ADORABLE wall hanging and asked me to add a bit of texture to it. When I'm done she's going to add more embellishments  - like buttons etc.

Isn't it just toooooo cute?!

This is another piece Cathy made and will be picking up today.  I hope she loves the quilted texture that I added (as much as I love it)!

Another Beach Theme

Ready to be quilted!!

Carolyn's finished quilt and what's up next?

This quilt is just too cool. Carolyn did such a great job choosing the batik fabrics for her "sunrise on the beach" quilt.
I really had fun quilting it - hope Carolyn loves it!

Up next??? A small quilt and a wall hanging by Cathy T.  I quilted another of one of her quilts in early September.  Cathy is a new quilter and she's having a blast!!!

After Cathy's quilt I have one more quilt to finish for Merrie.  Does this make the 10th one, Merrie? I still say one of these days I'm going to buy one of your quilts and use it as a wall hanging!!! I LOVE them.  ALL OF THEM!!!

Well guess I better get busy. Lots to do before guild meeting later.

I love my longarm!!

One quilt off my longarm. Next one on deck!

Merries's first quilt is finished!! I hope she will sent me a photo of it after she binds it!!  She has a great eye for batiks!

Her next quilt will be loaded on my long arm tomorrow after work at Beginnings Quilt Shop.  Merrie requested an all over Pantogram called Fern Gully using a dark brown thread.  Looking forward to it!!!

Todd's Quilt is Finished

Isn't his quilt a beauty!? I wish I had a larger place to hang it for this photo!!!

When giving your quilt to your longarmer...

Please don't forget to snip off all the threads on the back of your quilt top. The threads can get caught my hopping foot which may cause a tear in your quilt. This little pile of threads was snipped off of one quilt top. I'm thinking the quilter forgot to remove them?!

Guild Meeting and Craftsy Class Review

It's off to our Quilt Guild this morning and then home to work on the store sample quilt again. I can't WAIT to get back on my longarm.  I'm really enjoying working on this quilt using my new rulers!!

I thought while I had a minute, I'd review a Craftsy class that I took recently.  I  LOVED it.  Even though Lori from theinboxjaunt.com stitches on a domestic machine in her class I was able to get so many FANTASTIC ideas!

Lori's Craftsy class is called, Divide and Conquer: Creative Quilting for Any Space.

The broad categories in her class - each of which is chock full of fresh new motifs are:

Foundations
Vertical and Horizontal Compositions
Grid Compositions
Medallion Compositions
Radiating Compositions
Diagonal Compositions
Framed Compositions

Well, anyhow, you get the idea.  What I liked a LOT about the class was Lori's teaching style.  She made each motif seem so doable. AND,  I love that she really encourages us to doodle.  As a matter of fact, on her website she has a whole doodle tutorial section. Did I mention I ran out to Staples to purchase a dry erase board for doodling because I used up every scrap of paper in the house for doodling?!

Below is a picture of Lori's craftsy class (not an affiliate link).  If you're at all interested in free motion quilting, I highly recommend both this class and Lori's blog.

PS. I have three FREE Craftsy classes to give away!  If you are one of the first three to email me at LongarmQuiltingbyPattyAnne at g mail dot com,  you will be a winner of a class of YOUR CHOICE.
